Day n° 3, Tuesday

October 28th.

On the first sight, our planning for the day is pretty little. Only two things to do.
First: The Warner Bros. Studio tour, for the second time :3

As we did the first tour on a Sunday, where not many people were working on the lot, so we could see many sets and stages, we decided to do another one on a weekday.
So we arrived at the VIP tour entrance at 8am. Our tour was to start one hour later.
So we got our final tickets at the front desk
And then waited in the shop. We took some pictures of the stuff, like some Harry Potter newspapers

And so on. We also did the merchandise shopping on that day.
My dad bought some Big Bang Theory shirts for him and my brother, for my mom we bought a 'Ellen DeGeneres' shirt (my mom's name is Ellen, so... hehe :3) and a huge Ellen cup. I bought an Ellen jacket *it is so fluffy ^_^* a shirt from Warner Bros. with 'Actor' on it and Postcards for like $30.
I also tried to get the wifi connection there, but my phone was being an a**... So I couldn't tell Jimmy that I was there again, because we actually wanted to meet. ( I had something for him, which I forgot to give him on Sunday. My bad :L)
So the tour began and you already saw at the gate, that the lot was way more busy than on sunday. Obviously.
This time we really did not get to see that many stages or sets. In fact only one besides the Friends set. But on the other side we got to see a lot more on the lot itself :)
Like these nicely parked trucks...
A house at which's front was a lot of things they needed for shooting ...
A little park, which you might know (It is not the one infront of the court house; it was also in The Big Bang Theory)

And we drove by the The Mentalist office another time ;) But this time our guide didn't stop the car unfortunatly...
we went through the streets among the stages
and we entered the Warner Bros Design Studio :)
There we got to see sets of The Big Bang Theory, like here, Howard's Dining Room ;)

Our guide explained a lot of interesting things! More than the other one did on Sunday!

Later on we saw more of the busy lot
And we also crossed ways with another tour :)
I bet most of you will recognize this really nice Fire station.... :D
We passed the place with the pavillion, which was also used in Ghostwhisperer
And we arrived in the street with the (yeah I guess he said that) western houses :)
There were so many sqirrels hahaha they were so cute :3 And our guide made jokes like they are all professional squirrels, payed to be on the lot ;)

We also got to enter one of the houses
Here he showed us that they really don't use a single real brick in the whole studios!
On the inside, the door seemed kinda famailiar,
he explaind a lot of things about the steps, which were built extra small, so the actors and actresses appear bigger, or extra small furniture in the kitchen for the same reason.
On the otherside of the house we went back outside, and I could swear... I have seen that one before! ;)
It was so so interesting walking through all those on lot sets and to learn how they trick on movies :)

Back on the cart, we drove to the decoration office, where people can borrow furniture, lamps, pictures, glasses, sofas (not Jane's lol) and a bunch of other stuff for a lot of money per week ;)
Some old 'costumes' also.

He showed us, how easy and clean it can be, to have blood on the floor :)
Our last stop was the museum. (I wrote about that one already in day one ;) )
Sadly the tour was over quickly. But it was really worth it doing it twice! The tours were so different from each other. It was awesome!

it was about 11.15am as we left the Warner Bros. lot.
The second and last point on our schedule of this day, was waiting on a parking lot on the other side of the WB studios, next to the WB visitor center, on the opposite of the The Mentalist poster.
Yeah, it was a little more senseful than it sounds in the first place!
We had Stand-by tickets for a taping of The Big Bang Theory! Sadly there was neither cameras nor mobile phones allowed so I had to stow them in the car. (Therefore no more fotos for tuesday *sigh*)
So we were waiting on the parking lot, with like 20 other people at that time. The few benches were already occupied and there was no other way to have a at least a bit comfortable place, than sitting on the ground haha.
Next to the lot, in the garage, were a lot of benches and also a lot of people waiting for the Ellen DeGeneres show. They were pretty loud, and it appeared to me that they were kinda entertained by someone xD
At our lot it was just borring haha :L And more and more people arrived. Later on, as we got hungry, I went to some restaurant nearby, where I bought a pizza for my dad and me.
As I left that restaurant, I saw something that stopped me from moving for a while. Must have looked creepy. Me standing infront of that glass door, starring at it xD
But I couldn't help it! On the window was a small Red John Smiley Face! And next to it a big sticker with a cast photo, saying The Mentalist Season 4.
Until now I have no idea why they were there! But it was kinda nice ehehhe :D
After we finished the pizza, I finally had THE idea how I could contact Jimmy even without internet haha (I already asked at the gate btw but they couldn't help me. Meh)
So I went back to the car and did some calls. Yup I swear, Ally is awesome :3 Because as I unlocked my phone I saw that Ally already contacted me to tell me that Jimmy wanted to meet with me! So I told her that we were going to stay at that lot for at least 2 more hours (until 4.30pm lol) and so our lovely Ally arranged another meeting with our great Jimmy Gadd! :) Like half an hour later I met him at the traffic light, on the opposite of the The Mentalist poster.
I finally gave him the little gift I had for him and thanked him again for everything and we talked a little, also told him that he just needed to let me know whenever he comes to munich :)

(Let me take this moment to appreaciate Jimmy's kindness and how nice and lovely and sweet and awesome he just is!!! THANK YOU!)

Well, we had to say goodbye after some time. Sadly.
But the waiting time was already over :3
After a while, a security lady came and gave us numbers and stamps on our hands and like half an hour later, they alreay asked the first 10 stand-by guests to come with them! (We were numbers 18 and 19 ^_^)
And not long after we were also walking through gate 2 on the WB lot :3 Yeah. And guess what just drove by as we had entered the lot? Right! A big white truck with a The Mentalist poster on it!!!! I was so excited and so mad because, as already said, we had no cameras with us -.-
Anyway!
We walked through the lot and on the back of the Court House (They were freaking filming something at the court house but I couldn't see what >.<), was the stage entry of The Big Bang Theor!
We had do go through some security check, where they took everything like stuff you wanna get signed and phones etc. They took my The Mentalist pilot script -.- They said: we know, it's from another show but we have to take it anyway. lol

As we were inside, a guy placed us in the last row, pretty much in the mid part. yay :3
The show sarted with showing us an unaired episode :3 Muhihihi it was great! I won't tell anything about content...
They filmed every scene twice and sometimes some pic ups (means parts of a scene) and sometimes with different texts! It was hilarious! Between shooting and changing, there was some entertainer, who led us through the evening with games and stuff. It was quite funny (got annoying in the end though xD) before they shot the last scene, the staff had pizza and a bottle of water for everyone! (the pizza was not even close to being warm but hey, it was great!)
The taping was over at about 10pm!I can tell you! All the waiting was woth it! It was such a great experience and it was so funny :'D
As we left, I got my script back! THANK GOD.
We went back to the motel and went to bed quickly. We were really... well done for the day!

Stay tuned for blog entries of the next days! (lol)

Love,
Sabine xx

Day n° 2, Monday

Monday, October 28th.

My alarm did a great job waking us up again at 6am.
After a small breakfast, we had an appointment with the master of all cult gurus, Bret Stiles.
Therefore we started our car and tried to find the Visualize Headquarters with the help of a simple map.
After about a 1 hour drive, we arrived in Simi Valley, a smaller place in the west of Los Angeles. We also were supposed to meet Sister Ally again, at the Gate to the private road to the Church.
We waited and waited.... and waited for some time, before we called her to ask her where she was and if we were even right at the Peppertree lane.
We were. But we were at the wrong side. So after some more phone calls, sister Ally finally found us and led us to the actual gate. As I  have mentioned before.... it was private. So there was a gate and at that gate you had to type a code to get granted access. Well, as we were there for the first time, and nobody gave us the password yet, we returned and waited at a stop sign on the street.
After a few more minutes finally a car entered the street and we had to go fast to enter before the gate closed again.
So we tured on the first street to the left, up a steep hill.
As the Headquarters came into our sight, we could already feel it. The power of Visualize.
 Well, we came closer,
and closer and the excitment grew with every singel inch!
Before we dared crossing the little barrier, we took some pictures with Ally and me :)
Then we were closer than ever before and the huge building (which isn't that huge, nor the place in front of it lol) presented itself.
It was so impressing standing in front of it, being there! So awesome! Stiles wasn't there though.
And it was kinda hard to get some private space while calling him...

We stayed about half an hour probably, then we left again. Ally had to get back home and my dad and I planned on going to some University in Saint Clarita, not far from the church.
We had a short stop-by at McDonald's for lunch before we arrived at the Grand Canyon University.
Oh yes! The reason why we were there is that we heard somewhere that the best TV show on earth, The Mentalist, was shooting there that day! :D
So we arrived at the student's parking lot and walked around for a pretty long time without seeing anything. No trucks, no people gathering... and the campus was huge! Believe me.

But suddenly,  there was this other, smaller parking lot with some fences around it and white trucks on the inside! Guess what was on them...
I almost died of excitement!!!!
And just a few moments later we saw a building with material or stuff on one part of the window and lights around it. More trucks and a lot of people being busy shouting "Rolling!" or "Cut!" or carrying tons of bottles of water to some ice box. We came closer but we didn't dare getting up the three steps, and my dad said it would be too suspicious, if we were standing there, watching with a huge camera like mine. So I put it in the bag, he had his still, and we went to a bench nearby, like 50 meters away, where we had a good view.
It was also pretty warm that day. And we were sitting in the sun. Nothing to drink there. Meh.

We sat there for like 10 minutes probably, as a big car stopped in front of the building and a guy in a suit with blonde, curly hair got off and headed to the door.
My heart skipped a beat as I realized that it was Simon Baker! And it was over so quickly, we couldn't even take a picture.
Now I didn't mind being suspicious anymore! I bet you understand! I was like: DAD! WE HAVE TO GO CLOSER! COME ON! WE HAVE TO!!!!!
Well, we did eventually. And we weren't alone there. Some students were waiting for their bus right in front of the filming location! So we pretended to be waiting too.
In the meantime, lots of extra role people had placed themselves upstairs, waiting for their appearance.
As I noticed that two boys who were standing next to us just a few moments ago were upstairs now too, I begged my dad to follow. But he was just like: No, we can't just go up there. We can't.
But hey, it wouldn't be me if I couldn't make him go upstairs with me.
So we were standing there right in front of the window, we could even see a tiny little bit of the inside. I was so exciting.... I died. I didn't care that my dad was with me, I just was there, fan-girled a little for myself. I coulnd't hide it. xD
Anyway.... after some more waiting time, another "CUT!" sounded from some guy and a few moments later the door went open.
Simon Baker left the scene, with a phone in his hand, dialing some number, walking THAT close by! T.H.A.T. close! I swear UGH x.x HE IS JUST SO HANDSOME AND SEXY AND THE BEARD AND AAAAAHHHHH
For the next minutes he was on the phone, talking to someone in this sexy australian accent (yeah he said something like I would love love love love to meet you there) (nahaha). It was kinda interesting watching him. No, I was not staring, just watching! *blushes* Big difference!
He walked up and down, sat on the street, got up again... and while he was still on the phone he went back inside *sigh*
They were talking about something, as I could spy a gorgeous small woman with curly brown hair, walking around Simon, laughing (yes it looked like she laughed her gorgeous laugh *Q*) and talking: Robin Tunney! In that moment I lost it. I mean... I didn't scream or stuff as I didn't wanna risk being thrown off the set, but I couldn't stop talking to myself saying "Omg omg omg Robin omg Robin is there too!" the whole time :'D Yeah these other guys were looking at me kinda annoyed. At least one of them who didn't even know them.... (Wonder why he was there lol) The other one told me that he wouldn't leave until he has his picture with Simon Baker! Well, me neither. Not until I had one with both of them. With Robin <3 That's what I wanted so badly...
Then they continued filming and scene after scene, the minor roles all went inside the set.
It was really interesting watching through the window where we couldn't see much though :/ and watching the crew as they suddenly started putting the lights away and the small white tent-pavillion-something and the material...
And then the door opened again.
Simon Baker left the set with a wide smile on his face, looking at the two guys, my father and me, saying. "Hey, guys!" and waving at us! As he went by, I couldn't move. I couldn't breath. I couldn't think.
Luckily the two guys ran after him asking him for a foto and that's when I woke up from my trance again.
At least I could move, breath and talk crap. (No thinking) So I went over to him, foto and permanent marker in my hand. And I asked him if I could have an autograph and he took the marker and the paper and asked for my name (I had to repeat it 3 times and he got it with an 'a' in the end though BUT WHO THE PIGEON CARES) then, as he signed, I asked him for a foto, and after he handed me my stuff back, he put his hand around my shoulder,  & I guess I squeezed his waist a little... Sorry, Simon lol
Holy Pigeon there was this piece of porn standing next to me with his arm around my shoulder!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHHH I still can't believe it really happened!
But he had to leave quickly...
BUT I SWEAR THAT WAS PERFECT TIMING!!!
Just as we finished up taking pictures, the gorgeous Angel and Queen of Perfection Robin Tunney came down the stairs!
I literally ran the five steps towards her. She had so much stuff in her hand that I almost asked her if I could help her with taking something, but I just didn't dare x.x I asked her for an autograph. And she said. "Sure!" and smiled! Oh gosh I swear! I melted *Q* THIS SMILE
(Oh it was so embarrassing.... I handed her the marker but I didn't let it go for at least 10 seconds haha I dodn't even notice until she looked like me like: Ok, you wanna give it to me? and lauched a little as I finally let go xD)

She was so so sweet! And so damn beautiful and so lovely and nice and lökahsdöflnüaosjbdflkcbhalsdjfn!!!!!!!! I MEAN JUST LOOK AT HER!!!! (Yeah, I couldn't take my eyes off of her ugh x.x)
And the only thing I could tell her while she signed the photo was that I love her so much and that Chiara loves her so much too. And I feel so bad because I had so much I wanted to tell her but don't blame me.... I couldn't think! I was just happy to tell her anything about that we love her!!! Oii and she smiled as she heard it. Isn't she just the sweetest??! <3
After the autograph, I asked her for a foto as well and ugh she is so sweet and beautiful and just don't mind my uglyness *Q* SHE IS SUCH AN ANGEL!!! <3
Jup and I put my hand around her shoulder! I hope she didn't mind :/ Her hands were occupied unfortunatly :( BUT STILL *Q* As she leaned over to me ohhhh I swear she smelled so good!! And I had hairporn on my shoulder and the Queen&Goddess beside me <3 <3 <3 (THAT SMILE I AM DYING!!!!)
And yes, you all know that she is the sweetest woman ever x3 The crew was already nervous, shouting at her that she has to hurry because the car was waiting. They said it several times but as the two boys wanted a picture as well, she only said: It won't take long, just a few seconds!
Oh my dear she is sooo sweet and sooo nice to her fans and AAAAAAHHHHHHHH IT IS ALL STILL SO UNREAL did I meantion that before?
But though she had to leave eventually and Simon was waiting in the car already too...
Yes, she is god damn sexy.
After the car left and I died a hundred times, we watched the rest of the crew tearing the set down and my dad made also some pictures which I shouldn't post here because of spoilers maybe... I mean I don't know if that scene there was important for the Jisbon story line or so xD
Yeah.... I didn't get over it. The marker, the autographs and the pictures are my holy treasure now.

A while later... oh wait... I could at least post the pic with the crew and cast chairs...
And from the outside. You shouldn't see much here xD
So. A while later we made our way back to Burbank, stopping by at a Walmart. ( Ididn't dare using my right hand with which I touched Simon and Robin lol I bet it looked a little weird xD)

As we arrived there again, we met up with Ally for dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen next to THE MALL. I told her everything about it and she was so sweet and happy for me x3 Oi we had so much fun together :D
The Pizza was really good!
Afterwards we went to the Mall for another short time and then got back to the motel.

THIS DAY WAS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! MONDAY, OCTOBER 28th 2013! Mark that red in your calendars! Bahaha :'D

So that is it for today. For questions or stuff you know where you can find me... hopefully ;)

Tons of love!!!

Day n° 1, Sunday

It is Sunday, October 27th, 6am.
The Mentalist theme wakes me and my dad up, in the beds of the Sea Rock Inn Motel (almost) near the LAX.
I am still a little tired, but the excitement of what we are going to see today is too big to pay attention to that!
After I took a shower and we checked out again, our first stop was the Pico House - a.k.a. The CBI Headquarters!
So we had to drive quite a bit. Other than expected, it was rather cold and very foggy outside. Kinda ironic that the first time we drove on the Sunset Boulevard, the only thing we saw was fog.
Well, to be honest, we didn't find the building in the first place but after we saw a little more of the city than planned we finally reached it! Gosh I was so nervous as we drove by to get to a parking lot.
But a place to park was found quickly near the 'back' side of the Headquarter and we got off the car and entered the property.
We walked along a little street that ended at the gate of the 'CBI'.
So my dad and I went to the front of this lovely building to take some fotos and explore the famous The Mentalist location. And let me tell you, in reality it is way smaller than on TV! xD
Of course we also took pictures of the place where Minelli had his impressive speech, after Bosco and his team were shot.
(Yeah, that guy on the edge of the pic is my dad xD)
And I bet most of you will also recognize this lot ;) Yes, it was still foggy....
Of course I also forced my dad to take pictures with me infront of the house (I didn't really had to force him lol)
But right as we took those pictures, a police officer appeared to tell us that we needed a permission to take frotos of it from the inside of the fence. Well, at least he didn't make us delete the pics we arleady had ;)
So we left the property and took some more fotos from the outside ;D
It was so awesome to really be there!!!
But we couldn't stay for ever because we had an appointment with the Warner Brothers VIP tour and the lovely Ally at 11am!
So we hopped back on the car and fought our way through the streets of Los Angeles.
At about 10am we arrived at the huge WB lot. Well, at the entrance to the building with the shop and the start of the tour. Oh yes, and by the way! The weather in Burbank was just awesome!

So... as we had like 1 hour left until the tour started, we looked through the store. And guess what. They did not have one singel merchandise for The Mentalist. NOT EVEN ONE!!! NOT EVEN THE KEY RING ANYMORE! Well, I complained, of course. lol.
Anyway! We had a little breakfast at the Starbucks that was right in the shop and I tried to get wifi to notify Jimmy that we arrived. But it didn't work :L
As I was waiting near the entrance for Ally, a security guy asked me about my favourite show. As I answeres "The Mentalist!" He assumed that I was from Fance haha xD He said "For some reason french people love that show." Well, I explined that not only french people love it and that there is a simple reason for it: It is a super amazing show! ;) Then he told me that he was just the day befor in duty at stage nine and that they were filming The Mentalist there and that that blonde guy... the main character... Simon Baker was busy, running around. LOL
At about 10.30am, the dearest Ally showed up. We finally met!! :D You can believe me if I tell you that she is just amazing :3 But I guess you already know ;D
We talked a little and then we contacted Jimmy with her phone. Just before the short 7 minutes movie began.
(IN IT WAS THE 'SHE DOES THE DETECTING, I DO THE INSULTING SCENE AND A SHORT MOMENT OF SIMON DIRECTING :3)
After the introduction movie ended, our guide led us to the cart were we occupied the best places in the first row for us :3
Of course our tour guide asked for our favourite shows and of course we let him know that The Mentalist is the best show ever :3 But well.... he told us that we won't be able to see the set because of HUGE sopoilers. I couldn't even persuade him by promising not to tell anyone about it *sigh*
Then the tour began eventually!
First he showed us some locations of severaly movies and series on the lot.
And after a few minutes we passed the water tower.
After we saw many sound stages from the outside, we passed the The Mentalist office!!! (Sorry, I couldn't get a better piture :/)
Immediatly we wrote to Jimmy that we just passed it.
Our guide showed us then a big hall full of wrapped up sets and stuff,
the gas station, were one of the Batman cars was just placed,
and then he brought us into another hall where we could see cars from all kinds of movies etc. like here, the yellow one is from The great Gatsby
and that black one is from Matrix.
Yeah, sadly Jane's car wasn't there... but we found another interesting car...
A red car saying 'Tiger' on the side. Coincidence? I don't think so :P
We had told Jimmy that we were in the car-hall right now and so it came that when we left, our dearest Red Editor was waiting outside for us! :D
And if you look close enough, you can see that his cart has a little Red John smiley face on it ehehe x3 (yeah, I didn't know that I was in that picture too....)
We talked a little and then we decided to meet after the tour again ;) ( as he left people were asking who he was and they were quite impressed as we told them ehehe ;) )

As we continued our tour, we first got to see the WB museum where we found lots of costumes of The Big Bang Theory, Gravity, Man of Steel, Pretty Little Liars,...., and of course a suit of our adorable Patrick Jane :3 We weren't supposed to touch any of these. We couldn't restit though. But Psssssst! ;)
Upstairs was only stuff from Harry Potter! Lots of stuff from movie 1 to the last part.
We could also let ourselves be put into the 4 different houses. Ally and my dad were Hufflepuff... and I.... well.... I actually like snakes. And green. Green is a lovely color.

We left again after 20 minutes ane then we got to see our first set. The Friends set.

We also got to visit the The Big Bang Theory set, the Two Broke girls set, the Two and a half men set and we entered the stage of The Ellen DeGeneres show! It was all so super exciting!!!! :D But we weren't allowed to take pictures here :(
After seeing all the amazing sets, I forced the guide to please stop at the court house so we could take a quick picture.
And we also saw this well known place infront of the court house :)
He showed us a few more things on the way out and sadly the tour ended soon.
So we made our way to the The Mentalist poster at the outside of the lot!
Of course we made some pictures :)
And as Jimmy was already waiting there for us, we took some with him too! Of yourse ;)
It was so much fun meeting him that day! Jimmy is such a great guy! You gotta love him :D

As it was already lunch time, Ally, my dad and I decided to go to THE Mall! The Burbank Town Center! :)
Gosh it was so damn thrilling to be there! :D

So my dad stayed upstrairs as Ally and I took THE escalator downwards
and placed ourselves at some 'Coffee cart' ( No, no coffee here :( )
Afterwards we went back upstairs and had some delicious fish taccos!
Our further planning was going to our new motel in Burbank, checking in, getting ready and meeting Ally again to go dining at the Madeo! :)
The food was so delicious! And the service was really good, though the restaurant was well filled with lots of important looking and important pretending people! No Robin, sadly :(

In time, at about 9.30pm we were back at the motel so we had enough time to switch the TV on and watch The Red Tattoo!
This first day was just freaking awesome! We met such great people and had such an awesome time! :D

I hope we will see tomorrow again ;)
Lots of love,
Sabine xx
